Note: This is a demo of an online screening room for a video made in the summer of 2003 for a promotional video contest. The final venue would be online, so broadcast quality image was not a focus. This is what the page looked like after the project was completed. The sections of the project (Rough Edit, Production, etc.) were added when that stage of progress had been reached. The newest sections appear at the top of the page so visitors can check progress quickly. The news on the left does not necessarily line up with the progress on the right. Green highlights are elements that were approved for the final project.

CONCEPT DESIGN
Proposed Motion Graphic (This is adapted from existing company logos and graphics to maintain product image.)
Synopsis Two young video-makers are presenting their video project to an executive, who is very unpleased. The environment is drab, emphasizing fluorescent lighting and an overall uncomfortable feel. The video does not work, or is of very poor quality, and the video-makers are embarrassed. They go home feeling put out, when all of a sudden, Vegas Video arrives. A narrator expels the wonders of Vegas Video as we are shown the same features on screen. The video-makers redo the video with enthusiasm, exploring all the features the program has to offer, and finally finish. When they return to the executive with their new work, everything is a success, and Vegas video sits on the desk in the foreground, a symbol of success. Hip and sophisticated music plays throughout and rises as a motion graphic Vegas Video logo appears on screen.
Production Schedule Locations: large office or conference room with vertical blinds, computer room with overhead lighting and a very large monitor Cast: young man, young woman, older executive Crew: director, assistant director, gaffer Props: Vegas Video product box, television, remote control, eyeglasses, computer with large monitor, small digital camera Schedule (created July 4, 2003): 7 days - Develop, design, and cast the video for greenlight. 3 days - location scouting, schedule crew and cast 2 days - shooting 3 days - post-production Total 15 days - Final product estimated completion date: July 19, 2003
