ACQUISITIONS AND DISTRIBUTION
We want an audience to
see your movie!
As filmmakers ourselves, Food for the Moon understands that every artist
and craftsperson wants an audience for their work. Distribution is vital in
this hope, and there is an opportunity available now to
distribute films at low cost to a worldwide audience. This is not simply website distribution nor
does it have anything to with this site's own
showcase. What we're talking about is an entirely new distribution opportunity
allowed to us because of our dedication and success
with online distribution.
Food for the Moon has partnered with DAVE Networks, a
new internet media infrastructure utilizing a P2P
network and IPTV technology to distribute video,
music, and images frictionlessly to
any television set, computer, PDA, and cellphone where there is an
internet connection. Imagine your film being available in homes, hotels, and businesses around the world. To a filmmaker, this
represents an opportunity to distribute to an
audience hungry for great movies, to get praise and
feedback immediately, to enjoy the freedom of
complete control over a project, and above all, to make a living through making movies. With the right
allies, this is now possible.
Food for the Moon is ready to leverage this
opportunity, giving filmmakers the resources to work
with, and
making great movies while doing it. Food for the Moon
will distribute and organize publicity for its acquisitions from
around the world, for sale to wide and appropriate markets. Above all,
acquisitions will be showcased alongside the best there
is to offer from the internet, attracting more viewers, and allowing
the work an opportunity to succeed.
Who should inquire for
acquisition?
Food for the Moon is looking for movies between the
length of 1 and 120 minutes that may attract a sizable
audience. Bold technique, interesting concepts,
and a thrust of meaning are a must for all of our
acquisitions. We would like to emphasize
productions achieved entirely through digital
creation: DV, HD, or CG work. We accept movies
targeted towards a specific language or region, and we
encourage inquiry from international producers. If you have any questions, please email us at contact@foodforthemoon.com.
If
you believe you may have something appropriate, email
us with a synopsis of your movie. Please be ready to upload a small
demo version of the file to your webspace for us to view. If you would like to provide a hardcopy of
your movie for us to view, please let us know in your initial email so we may give you information as to how you can get it to us.
If we are interested, we
will contact you as soon as possible to discuss the possibility
and terms of acquisition. You will have as much or
as little involvement in the process as you would like. Afterwards,
we will prepare the movie to make it available to the public,
launch publicity efforts, and do anything else that needs
to be done to get your movie out there.
PLEASE NOTE: You must be
capable of providing a source file of the movie that
is above 700k bitrate visual quality, own all
necessary licenses for copyrighted material you use,
and have appropriate releases from all performers
appearing in the movie, in order to be eligible for
acquisition.

grudgingly tolerate from other video producers. We offer turn-key solutions for music
videos, commercials, promotional videos, industrial
products, direct response video advertising, and more. Do you have a video project that needs to be finished? We

LOW COST, HIGH QUALITY
With the recent advances
in high-quality digital video, low cost no longer
means low quality. Food for the Moon
Productions has the latest tools, and the expertise
with which to use them, allowing us to focus on the
things that matter most: the concept, development,
and timely production of a client's project.
SERVICE TO ANYWHERE
The internet has
provided the video production industry with an unprecedented
opportunity to provide high-quality video production
service to any client, regardless of distance. Food for the Moon Productions is taking advantage of this with a
private online screening room (click
for demo) that allows a client to view
works-in-progress, concept design, and rough edits
before the finished product is finalized,
from any computer connected to the internet.
Communication of the project's progress, and the client's
freedom to ask questions at any time, represents a fundamental component of our service. Click here to visit a demo
online screening room.
CONCEPT DESIGN
If you are serious about getting a high quality
finished video, you'll need a company that focuses on
what the audience will remember and talk about most:
the concept. Food for the Moon
Productions understands that well-done camera work
means nothing if the video lacks a concept that
thrills, entertains, or captivates the audience.
UNIQUE AND SATISFYING
RESULTS
With a variety of
available creative directors ready to work full-time
at the head of a project, clients can expect a
unique and customized finished product delivered

demanded. Food for the Moon Productions strives to surpass expectations whenever possible.
