BACKGROUND
A world of possibility awaited us in outer space. The first Mars Colony, after hundreds of years as a bold haven of hope and exploration, has collapsed under pressure to recede its control of Mars over to the Earth Solar Alliance. However, a small resistance remained on Mars, its fighters few in number but fanatical in purpose. The uneasy stalemate is a burden on the minds of the Alliance's population of billions, one they'd soon forget. Emboldened by cold indifference, the Alliance Defense Force's warmachine hopes to solve this dilemma... The interplanetary transport ship "Tabris" is home to two, Captain Charles, and the pilot, a slight young woman named Ro. Beginning far away from the peril of destruction on Mars, the two will find themselves at the center of the culminating strife on that forbidden planet. Charles is called back to Mars to pay back an old debt to Kasei, the leader of the Mars resistance. Ro and Charles must get to the Mars surface safely in order to reveal an ancient secret the planet has kept. MARS: TABRIS is a space epic scifi short film (20 minutes) produced in house by Food for the Moon Productions, to be released in 2008. The film has been shot entirely in a green screen studio. CURRENT STATUS: Offline edit complete. Visual effects begun. Completion estimate: Summer 2008
